Real and Near Real-time weather data

Real time weather data: Cairn Gorm automatic weather station: Heriot Watt University

Automated weather stations are capable of recording continuous weather data and downloading the observations to a computer, either through a direct connection or through a remote telephone link. Data can be read in text form or can be processed to be displayed as a graph, often continually updated to show weather trends and patterns. The listings below link to a range of automated stations around the UK, recording both land and sea based conditions. Some of the land based sites maintain archive collections of previous data.
